2BTextures is an art animation that explores the complex and textural relationship between experimental audio and visuals. The animation exploits the commonalities and differences between how visual and sonic events expressively represent natural elements.

This audio/visual animated experience consists of two movements in which the audience is asked to take a sonic and visual journey into the unknown. The first movement is a metaphorical exploration of branches. Throughout our lives we have points at which options converge and decisions must be made to move on. The results of our decisions do not delineate a single path but radically split to affect all other entities in the near facility.

The second movement is based on the breath, the indicator and moderator of life. Gasps of breath contrast and compliment the icy environment to reveal the fragility of our existence.

Together these two movements define a delicate balance between nature and humanity. Abstractly representing the essence of the ideas, 2BTextures aims to affect the viewer viscerally, triggering emotions rather than thought.
